The Milwaukee Region offers four distinct seasons – summer, fall, winter and spring – each with its own unique beauty and recreational opportunities.

Lake Michigan moderates temperatures along the lakeshore, making it slightly cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The average daily temperature is 79 degrees in the summer, perfect for sailing on the lake, playing golf or attending one of the area’s many outdoor festivals. Temperatures make it into the 90s an average of nine days per year, but they seldom exceed 100 degrees. July is the sunniest month, with 69 percent of the days bathed in sunshine.

Spring and fall are crisp and refreshing. Spring paints the landscape emerald green; fall is a kaleidoscope of colors as trees make way for winter. The average daily temperature in spring is 54 degrees; in the fall, it is 59 degrees.

Winter brings with it about 53 inches of snow, just enough to turn the region into a winter wonderland and offer opportunities for skiing and snowmobiling. The average daily temperature is 31 degrees.
